Happy Birthday, Dear Colin!

15 Apr

Yesterday was Colin’s second birthday (and his first in America with us!).  He had chicken, corn (which he loves for its taste and color), and green beans.  He had chocolate cupcakes with fudgy icing which Mama baked in ice cream cones. IMG_2106_cropped For quick decorations, I put Elmo candies on top of the cupcakes.  We decorated with balloons, a birthday banner, and stars wrapped around the dining room light (because he loves stars and is also very into “light” right now).  The birthday hat is one he helped Mama pick out at the store.  Yes, it is a monkey and our sweet boy is IMG_2103_cropped sometimes so active that we compare him to a little monkey.

Colin looks a little serious in some of the birthday photos because he was intently watching himself on the computer while we talked to his IMG_2112_croppedfamily in TN who were having a virtual celebration with us.

I will post photos from his Easter/birthday trip to Illinois later on.

We were so blessed to have our sweet boy home with us for his second birthday! Around this time last year we think the photos that were received with his referral were likely made.  We also know that by this time last year Colin was already walking.

Happy birthday, Colin!  We love you so much!

I love these; each expression is priceless! We were so excited to help Colin celebrate his big boy birthday. Thank goodness for webcams. We look forward to many more birthday parties and celebrations. We look forward to seeing Colin grow and change throughout the days and months. We look forward to seeing him grow in the Lord. What a wonderful gift we are all blessed with! How thankful Grandpa and Grandma Bain are! We rejoice and are exceedingly glad. The Lord continues to do great things! Praise Him for all his riches!
