A Day in the Life of Colin…

8 Dec

Last Monday, we were given a copy of Colin’s daily schedule for his age group in his baby home.  I thought you might find it interesting to read:

7:00-8:00 a.m.–waking up, indoor activities.

8:00 a.m.–breakfast (we are not sure what he is given for breakfast or dinner.  We  have only been there for lunch and snacks). (followed by potty time).

8:30-10:00 a.m.–indoor activities.

10:00-11:30 a.m.–outdoor activities

12:00-12:30 p.m.–lunch (which consists of bread and soup followed by a pasta or rice with softened meat and vegetable side). (followed by potty time).

12:30-3:30 p.m.–a midday nap (followed by potty time).

4:00 p.m. –A snack (which has been warm milk and a sweetened roll every time we have visited). (followed by potty time).hands with bun copy

4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.–activities (when we have been there it has pretty much been free play time)

7:00 p.m.–dinner (followed by potty time).  (We were surprised by how late dinner is.  We can’t hold out this long!)

7:30-8:30 p.m.  activities

8:30 p.m.-7:00 a.m.–a night sleep

Oh Heather, thank you for this precious photo. What sweet hands! Dad and I can’t wait! We are so excited for you all.
If I recall, Colin’s mommie liked biscuits with a little sugar also. But, I promise, I will never give him sugar, at least, not when you and Alan are looking.
Love on Colin for us and you and Alan staywell. Rest! You are going to need lots of stamina for the remainder of December.
    Love, Mom and Dad

Hey there. I’m glad you posted this. My boys often ask about what their baby sister might be doing “right now”. We’ve been praying for her, using the fact that Moscow is 8 hours ahead of us, as a guide as to how we might pray for her at that particular time.
Hope you guys are enjoying your stay!! I know Saturday can’t get here fast enough for you. We’re praying for you and Colin.
    In His Watch Care,
