I have begun working on the photo album we will leave with our little one when we visit him/her on our first trip to Russia.

It looks like www.mookla.com has the cool wooden blocks back in stock with which you can build Russian-looking buildings (domes & arches).

Here are the words we’re going to print out on labels for the album:

мама:  Она тебя любит.  (she loves you)

папа:  Он тебя любит.  (he loves you)

Это наша собака.  (This is our dog)

Это – ваш новый дом.  (This is your new home.)

Okay, I’m not good at the Russian pronunciation of words as of yet.  Please do know that Alan will not be called the English equivalent of “Nana.”  The Russian word for “papa” looks like “nana” to me but is actually said like “papa.”

I haven’t heard of anyone with our agency receiving referrals this week; I’m hoping we’ll receive an update soon.   I will be relieved when we are registered in a region because then I can think more about how to plan for the trip and what to anticipate, since there will be other adoptive parents to talk to about the specific region.  We trust that we will be registered in the region where the little one is that God has chosen for us but sometimes the waiting is a little hard.

Thanks for stopping by!
